Ed Sheeran - Castle On The Hill Akor

C CE F Am G

When I was six years old I broke my leg

C CE F Am G

And I was running from my brother and his friends

C CE F Am G

And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass as I rolled down

C CE F Am G

I was younger then, take me back to when I

F G C

Found my heart and broke it here

F

Made friends and lost them through the years

F G C F

And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown

F G

But I can't wait to go home

C CE F Am G7sus

I'm on my way, driving at ninety

C CE F Am G7sus

Down those country lanes singing to Tiny Dancer

C CE F Am G7sus

And I miss the way you make me feel and it's real

C CE F Am G7sus C

When we watched the sunset over the castle on the hill

C CE F Am G

Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes

C CE F Am G

Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends

C CE F Am G

Had my first kiss on a Friday night, I don't reckon I did it

C CE F Am G

Right, I was younger then, take me back to when we found

F G C

Weekend jobs and when we got paid

F F

We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight

G C F

Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long, oh how we've grown

F G

But I can't wait to go home

C CE F Am G7sus

I'm on my way, driving at ninety

C CE F Am G7sus

Down those country lanes singing to Tiny Dancer

C CE F Am G7sus

And I miss the way you make me feel and it's real

C CE F Am G7sus

We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill

C CE F Am G7sus

Over the castle on the hill

C CE F Am G7sus

Over the castle on the hill

Am F C G7sus

Am F C G7sus

One friend left to sell clothes and, one works down by the coast

Am F C G7sus

One had two kids but lives alone, one's brother overdosed

Am F C G7sus

One's already on his second wife, one's just barely getting by but

Am F C G7sus

These people raised me and I-I-I, can't wait to go home

C CE F Am G7sus

And I'm on my way, I still remember

C CE F Am G7sus

These old country lanes when we did not know the answers

C CE F Am G7sus

And I miss the way you make me feel and it's real

C CE F Am G7sus

We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill

C CE F Am G7sus

Over the castle on the hill

C CE F Am G7sus

Over the castle on the hill
